The month of March consists of….
…Daylight Savings Time!!! Don’t forget to move your clocks AHEAD one hour this Sunday morning.
…I am now the soccer coach for Caeden’s team, “Chivas USA”. Coaching a team full of four-year-old boys and girls is a blast. There’s nothing like watching little kids just randomly kick the ball with no purpose other than kicking it. Even if you tell them the goal they want to go towards is one direction they remain oblivious and just want to kick the ball. Last Saturday during a scrimmage both teams were literally so far out of bounds still kicking the ball that the scrimmage next to us had to be paused while our kids worked their way back to our field. The kids are adorable…some are afraid…most live for the post-game snack. I have to proudly say though – Caeden is good!
…A whole bunch of Irish folks coming into town – Noel, Ken, Lucy, Joseph and Karen. Once a year we bring them in to do several outreaches with us. This year their plate is full. Here’s a brief look at the schedule:
• Thursday, March 12th – Entire team at Hall’s house church.
• Saturday, March 14th – St. Patrick’s block party in Pastor Rob’s neighborhood. • Sunday, March 15th – At ReaLife Church in morning and Orlando North in evening.
• Monday, March 16th – Playing gig at Scruffy Murphy’s Pub (2625 Edgewater Dr., 32804) 8:00-10:00 pm
• Tuesday, March 17th – Playing gig at Scruffy Murphy’s Pub: 4:00 pm – 12:00 am
• Wednesday, March 18th – Team at various house churches.
• Thursday, March 19th – Team at Hall’s house church.
• Friday, March 20th – At Trinity Christian School for chapel in morning. Bowling in the evening.
• Sunday, March 22nd – Orlando North in evening.
…I’ve been invited to be the keynote speaker at a young adult conference in Melbourne, FL on March 20th and 21st called Refreshed. I’m very excited about this opportunity and have had the chance to connect with the young adult pastor, Shannon England, who’s running the conference and just really liked him a lot. I’m going to share my thoughts on John 15 and abiding in the vine and learning to be branches. Very, very excited.
…Melanie and I are going to be speaking at The Marriage Show at Summit Church on Friday, March 27th. This is a quarterly event that Summit does for its married couples. It’s kind of like the Leno or Letterman Show where they’ll have a background band, interview time, and just random funniness. Melanie’s a little nervous, but I’m totally stoked (yes – stoked) about the event.
…Haley and Caeden are both riding two-wheeled bikes! No more training wheels.
…Orlando North has some serious momentum right now and I love the ride. This Sunday we’re continuing the series, Bailout, which I think is becoming a life-changing series. Make sure you’re with us Sunday at 6:00 pm.
…We’ve planned lots of activities that are happening over the next few weeks besides the stuff happening with the Ireland team:
• March 14th – Men’s prayer breakfast at 8:30 am (4224 Rocky Ridge Place, Sanford 32773)
• March 20th – ONCC bowling night (6:30 to 8:30 pm at Altamonte Lanes AMF)
• March 22nd – Expressions • April 16th – IOA Corporate 5k: Orlando North building a team of all interested.
…We’re beginning sign ups this Sunday for those interested in volunteering with the senior interventions program with Officer Zack Hudson and the Lake Mary Police Department.
So much going on! I love it. There’s life…So much life! Be a part. Get involved. Pour your life into what God has for you and for us.

I am also stoked about March 27th!
